WEBSITE INFORMATION AND ACCESSIBILITY

The institutional website of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Production has been designed and built in compliance with the accessibility requirements for Public Administration websites provided by the so-called 'Stanca' Law  No. 4 / 2004 "Provisions to facilitate access of disabled people to IT tools" and with the AA level within the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines" 2.0 of the International W3C Consortium.

In developing the new portal, great care was taken to ensure that information and services are accessible on different browsers, on various platforms and devices, and through assistive technology.

The portal can also be viewed via smartphones and tablets: thanks to the Responsive Web Design technique, a single graphic theme was created that can deliver three distinct versions of the portal (smartphone, tablet, and desktop) according to the characteristics of the device used to access it.

In order to take full advantage of the characteristics of current and future mobile devices, HTML5 and CSS3 were favored through the use of advanced and dynamic features: where possible, an adaptation process is underway to achieve compliance with W3C validation.

The colors used in the portal allow sufficient contrast between foreground and background text.

All text is resizable via browser options without the aid of assistive technology and without loss of content and functionality: however, a few cases of overlapping elements are reported when using old and outdated browsers; this does not, however, preclude access to information and navigation.
